Mme Bronislawa Herba Kwasiborski

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Matriarch.  

Wife of the late Feliks Kwasiborski.  Mother to Francis (deceased), Barbara, Lech and Roman.
Grandmother to Paolo, Catherine, Sebastian, Alexa, Amanda, Bianca.
Great-grandmother to Feliks and Santo.

Born in Gawliki, Poland, into a large loving family who instilled in her a profound sense of duty and purpose.  Her strength of character came from a deep conviction that God was present in her life and helped to preserve her when her life changed abruptly with the onset of WW II.  She survived the perils and hardships as a political prisoner of Stalinist Russia and the losses of her first husband and first born child in Siberia.

Unable to return to her beloved Poland, she immigrated to Canada as a political refugee. in 1949.  She embraced her new homeland with great devotion.  She met and married Feliks Kwasiborski in 1951.  Feliks was a war veteran of the Polish Army in Exile who shared a similar experience of loss.  Together they raised a second family in Canada, instilling in their children and descendants the same values:  God, family and country.

We wish to thank the staff and residents of the Canadian-Polish Welfare Institute for their tender and loving care especially in her final days.

The family will receive condolences at the Alfred Dallaire MEMORIA Funeral Home (3254, Bellechasse, Montreal, Qc) on Monday, March 26^th from 7 to 10 pm and Tuesday, March 27^th from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 pm.  Rosary will be said for peaceful repose of her soul at 8pm on Tuesday.

Church services will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish (2550 Gascon Ave., Montreal, H2K 2W6) on Wednesday, March 28^th at 10 am. Following services, a wake will be held in the Parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Fondation de l’Institut Canadien-Polonais du Bien-Être inc.
