Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7th, 2019 at the CHSLD Lachine. Emily was predeceased by her brother Peter (late Hélène Godin), her sister Marie (late Camille Lamarre) and her twin sister Annie (late Frank Helik).
She leaves behind her nieces and nephews, namely Lorraine Lamarre, Gary Helik, Gérald Lamarre, Catherine Helik, Isabelle Plawucki and Paul Helik. Emily was surrounded by tender loving care personnel at the Ukrainian Villa for several years. On September 5th, 2018, she was admitted at the Jewish General Hospital where she was taken care of by professionals and great volunteer care for 10 months. Emily was then transferred to the CHSLD Lachine where she spent her last 19 days until her last breath took her to heaven.
Visitation at Alfred Dallaire Memoria Funeral Home, 3254 Bellechasse, on Monday, July 15th, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral to take place at St-Michael’s Church on Iberville Street at 11 a.m. followed by burial at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
