It is with great sadness that the family of Luciano Lecas announce his passing on Sunday June 12th, 2022. Beloved husband of 59 years to Ines, cherished father to Massimo (Lia) & Barbara (Victor), incredibly proud Nonno to Liliana & Manuela, cherished family member & friend to so many in Italy and Montreal.
Ciano, as big as he was with an equally enormous heart, gave himself in countless ways. He will always be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, his quick-witted jokes, his famous gnocchi, his love of Juventus and his never-ending stories.
We wish to thank everyone at the Jewish General Hospital for their genuine care & support in his final days.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday June 20th at Alfred Dallaire located at 1111 Laurier West from 2 to 5pm & 7 to 10pm. A Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday June 21st at Notre Dame de La Defense Church on rue Dante at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Alzheimer & Dementia research.

Domenica 12 Giugno 2022 e’ venuto a mancare all’affetto dei suoi cari Luciano Lecas. Amato marito da 59 anni con Ines, padre amorevole di Massimo (Lia) e Barbara (Victor), nonno incredibilmente orgoglioso delle sue nipotine Liliana e Manuela ed altri parenti e amici.
Ciano, grande com'era con un cuore altrettanto enorme, si è sempre messo a disposizione in innumerevoli modi. Sarà sempre ricordato per la sua gentilezza, la sua generosità, le sue battute argute, i suoi famosi gnocchi, il suo amore per la Juventus e le sue storie infinite.
Desideriamo ringraziare tutti al Jewish General Hospital per la loro incredibile cura e supporto nei suoi ultimi giorni.
Un incontro commemorativo si terrà lunedì 20 giugno presso Alfred Dallaire situato al 1111 Laurier West dalle 14 alle 17 e dalle 19 alle 22. Il funerale si terrà martedì 21 giugno presso la Chiesa di Notre Dame de La Defense in rue Dante alle ore 11.00.
Luciano ha sempre pensato agli altri e gli farebbe molto piacere se al posto dei fiori, si facesse una donazione alla ricerca su Alzheimer e demenza.
Resterà per sempre nei nostri cuori.
