It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Angela Volpacchio (Di Lella), on February 1, 2021 at the age of 96.
Widower to the late Giorgio Di Lella, she will be deeply missed by her devoted children Anna (late Mario), Josie (Ettore), George (France), Lina (Bernard), lovingly remembered by her beloved grandchildren Giorgio (Barbara), Michael (Francesca), Ettore Jr. (Valerie) and Cristina (Vince) and treasured great grandchildren Amanda, Ariana, Alessio and Matteo. She also leaves behind her dear sisters Concetta Petti (late Nicola), Maria Caiella (Vincenzo), sister-in-law Teresa (late Mattia) and predeceased by her sister, late Antonietta Garzia (late Antonio). She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, as well as other family and friends.
She was strong minded, independent, yet happiest surrounded by those she loved and sharing food among family and friends. She weathered the difficult times thanks to her resilience and emerged with renewed wisdom each time. She will be greatly missed and is surely smiling down on us all, surrounded by the loved ones she is now reunited with.
A private viewing and blessing will be held at the Alfred Dallaire MEMORIA on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
From there, she will be laid to rest, next to her late husband Giorgio Di Lella, at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery (Mausoleum Marguerite-Bourgeoys).
