On Monday, May 20, 2019, at the age of 84, Robert C. Bergen, MBA, passed away surrounded by his family.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 54 years, Claudette Dumas-Bergen, his two sons, Eric-Pierre and Jean-Carl Bergen, his grandson Enea Bergen as well as his brother-in-law Richard Dumas and nephew Jean-Marc Dumas.
Born in Saskatoon, Robert grew up and studied in Vancouver. In 1964, he chose to live in Montreal and build his career in advertising and public relations. His vivacious personality and dedication to Montreal’s business community with the Board of Trade and other associations was most appreciated by the members. He also distinguished himself as a writer for Canadian and U.S. publications including the travel section of The Montreal Gazette.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada will be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank the Centre d’Hébergement des Seigneurs for the medical attention and generosity of the personnel.
