After a long battle against brain cancer, Nathalie Buisson left us on July 25 due to complications from her illness at the age of 47.

She was a dancer for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal from 1986 to 1993 and for the Compania Nacional de Danza in Madrid until 1998. She then taught ballets from the choreographer, Nacho Duato, to several companies worldwide.

A woman of courage and action, Nathalie Buisson dedicated these last nine years to promoting and supporting brain-tumor research, by organizing two benefit galas and making others aware of this disease, while giving hope to people suffering from brain cancer.

She leaves behind her husband, Luis Pino, her children, Simon and Noémie, her mother, Ghislaine Patry-Buisson (late Bernard Buisson), her sister-in-law, Suzanne Aubin (late Paul Buisson), her mother-in-law, Carmen Palma (late Emilio Pino), her sisters- and brothers-in-law Beatriz, Emilio, Juan, Eugenia, Carmen, and Patricia Pino Palma, Albert Mesa, Pilar Barranco, Maria José Moyano, James Ghigi, Adriano Cortel, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

The family encourages all those who would like to contribute to the battle against brain cancer to make a donation at the CHUS Foundation on behalf of Dr. Fortin's laboratory on research and treatments of brain tumors.
