A ninety-two year life lived with kindness and generosity has come to a peaceful end.
Born in Drohobich, Ukraine, Emilia Hatajlo was a devoted wife of the late Marian Hatajlo, mother to the late Jerry, George (Kim), Steve (Lori) and Robert (Lillia), and grandmother to Maria, Jaros, Alex, Eric, Jeremy and Nevada. She leaves behind many relatives back in her native Ukraine and a legacy of friendships in the Ukrainian community in Montreal.
She was an adoptive mother to many friends of the family who enjoyed her hospitality and cooking and will be remembered fondly for her boisterous laugh.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Lakeshore General Hospital where her last moments were treated with dignity and respect. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Lakeshore General Hospital would be appreciated.
Viewing will be Monday January 29, 2018 from 2 pm to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Alfred Dallaire Memoria, 3254 Bellechasse Montreal. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. Funeral will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at St. Michael’s the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church 2388 rue d’Iberville Montreal, followed by Burial at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
