It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emiljia Sakara on August 11, 2018 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband Marian, cherished mother of Janina (Janek Kubow), Edward (Jeannie Rohar), and Mary. Devoted grandmother of Janice, Joanna, Edward, Christopher (Katherine Robinson) and Adam (Elspeth Garland). Proud and adoring great-grandmother to Justin, Dylan, Emmy, Lily, William, James and Gabriella.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her as she was an inspiring woman with immense strength, longevity and a deep love for her family.
Visitations will be held from 2pm to 5pm and again from 7pm to 9pm at 3254 Bellechasse in Montreal on August 16. Church service will be at the Joly Cross Parish on August 17 at 10am. Thence to the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
