The funeral will take place:
Passed away peacefully on August 26, 2019 after a prolonged illness. She was predeceased by her husband Wasyl Symchych.
Exhuberant and fun loving, Emily was for many years a devoted volunteer with Entraide Ukrainienne de Montréal and particularly enjoyed assisting the elderly at the Ukrainian Villa. She was also active in the Ukrainian Catholic Womens’ League, the Ukrainian Youth Association’s Womens’ Auxiliary and the Tryzub Golden Age Club. Emily loved to bowl and had a randy sense of humour. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her!

Visitation from 2:00PM until 5:00PM and from 7:00PM until 9:00PM, with the Panachyda at 8:00PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Alfred Dallaire Memoria at 3254 Bellechasse in Montreal. Funeral service at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church at 6175 10th Avenue in Montreal.
