Mr. François Léo Bouliane

It is with great sadness that the family of François Léo Bouliane announce his passing on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the age of 60, after a long battle with Frontotemporal dementia.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his life partner of 27 years, Gloria Felicita Chu, his daughter Aurélia Chu Bouliane, his sisters Élise Bouliane and Julie Bouliane as well as many other family members and friends.

François was born in Québec City, Québec on January 7, 1963 to André and Louisette Bouliane. He received a degree in Operations Management at Laval University. Throughout his career he worked in several cities, including Paris, France, but it was while working in Vancouver in 1996 that he found love with his life partner Gloria. In February 2003, they welcomed their daughter, Aurélia. François was a devoted and loving father and partner. His love for life included spending time with family and friends and enjoying a passion for sports, especially tennis and ice hockey, which brought great joy to François.

The family will celebrate François’ life at the MEMORIA Funeral Home (1120, East Jean-Talon Street, Montreal, Qc) on Saturday, May 20, 2023 starting at 1pm. A celebration will be held at the parlor starting at 3pm.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of the dementia organizations, hospitals and CHLSD Jean-de-la-Lande for their compassionate care and support for François.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of François Léo Bouliane to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal or Alzheimer Group Inc. would be greatly appreciated.
