It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Salvatore ‘Sal’ Giannangelo, on 6 June 2020.
Born in Corfinio, Italy, Sal immigrated to Canada with his family in 1955, at the age of 9. He graduated from McGill University with a diploma in chemical engineering in 1969 and had a rich career at Petro-Canada, where he held numerous positions, notably that of General Manager of the Montreal Refinery. His leadership and integrity touched all who worked with him. Sal retired in 2005 to pursue his hobbies: golf, stained glass, golf, curling, and… did we mention golf?
Sal leaves to mourn his wife Lise, his daughters Melissa and Dominique (André), his grandchildren Sarah and Simon, his sister Lolita (Gaetan), his brother Crescenzo (Pauline), his sisters-in-law Denise and Diane and many nieces and nephews.
Considering present circumstances, an intimate ceremony will be held for immediate family with live web streaming available on the current web page, on Saturday, 20 June 2020, at 8:45pm.
