In Montreal, on October 16, 2019, at the age of 75. John leaves behind his mother, Filomena, his sister, Gilda (Bob), his brothers Michel and Tony (Lyne), and his children, Manon and Julien (Zoë). He also leaves behind two grand-daughters, Catherine and Victoria.
John loved his family. He also loved food, music, books, travel, learning, sports – the list goes on. Complications from poor health in the last chapter of his life kept him from being able to be present for his family as he had always been and wished to be, and to enjoy all the things he loved. We will remember him for his strength, his love of his family, his curiosity, and the light in his eyes.
John, may you rest in peace now and forever.
The family welcomes flowers or donations to The Depot Community Food Centre, a community organization in NDG that offers food programs that build health, belonging, and social justice.
