Mr. Harry Roetzschke

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Harry on November 9, 2023 at age 99. Predeceased by his beloved wife Cécile (Maher) and son Dieter from his first marriage, Harry will be greatly missed by his family: daughter Sylvia (Barry), stepdaughters Ginette (the late Gérard) and Mireille (Georges), grandchildren Raymond (Chaya) and Leandra (Rudy), step grandson Jean Sébastien (Laurie-Ève) and sisters Heidi (Dieter) and Carla (the late Lambert). His absence will also be felt by his “condo family” in particular his good friends and guardian angels Pauline and Jean Guy.

Born in Germany, Harry emigrated to Canada in 1952 and became a proud Canadian often stating how lucky he was to live in this great country. He was a skilled mechanic responsible for the manufacture and printing of many street signs in Montreal in the 50s and 60s. Despite his advanced age, he lived independentlyin his own condo until his death. He mastered the latest technology, using his iPad to play games and communicate with friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held on December 17, 2023 at 10am to noon at Les Espaces Memoria,2159 St. Martin E. in Laval.
