It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joséphine Ugrina on June 25, 2023, at the age of 74. Joséphine was born in Liège, Belgium on June 24, 1949.
Joséphine is survived by her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many cherished friends.
Joséphine travelled the world, did charity work from India to Haiti, enjoyed a good glass of wine, preferably white or sparkling, and had a constant passion for fashion – most of all however, she was known as “Mamie” and through her extraordinary love for her grandchildren.
A proud Canadian and Québecer, Joséphine never lost contact with her European roots and honoured her and her parents’ history.
Our family would like to thank the dedicated members of the palliative care team at St-Mary's Hospital, CLSC Parc Extension, NOVA Home Care and the Maison St-Raphaël for their incredible support and excellent care during her final days.
Our family welcomes you Friday July 7th, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m at Les Espaces MEMORIA Laurier Funeral Complex, 1111 Av. Laurier O, Outremont, QC H2V 2L3. A tribute will be held at 7 p.m.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, your expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Maison St-Raphaël.
