It is with a sad heart we announce the passing of Julia, pre-deceased by her husband Iwan and grandson Philip. The Holowka Matriarch was the very proud mother of Bill (Noella), Eugene (Helen) and Stephanie (Eric). She was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Larissa (Dean), Andrew (Oksana), Darren (Shanon), Brent (Sarah), Stefan (Natalia), Philip, Arianna (Andrew) and an amazing 17 great-grandchildren. A fervent church goer, she led by example. She will certainly be missed for her fabulous Sunday family lunches.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the professional and dedicated staff of the Canadien-Polonais Institute for the special care they provided Julia. She was loved by all.
Visitation at Alfred Dallaire Memoria, 3254 Bellechasse St. on Thursday, December 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Friday, December 13 at 10 a.m. at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 6175, 10th Avenue. Burial at Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ukrainian Youth Assoc. (SUM) Benevolent Fund.
