KURYLO, Helen
(nee Kuklierus)
August 16, 1928 - March 4, 2020

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Kurylo on March 4, 2020 in Brampton, Ontario.  Beloved wife for 65 years of the late John Kurylo.  Devoted mother to Helen Porter (Kenneth), John Kurylo (Mary Anne Killin), and Jeannie Tautkus (Robert).  Cherished granny of Gary (Alisa Everts) and Kim Porter, John (Kendra Iskander) and Michael (Katherine Huang) Kurylo and Erik, Gary, and Amber Tautkus.  Loving great-grandmother of Jude and Nathaniel Porter and Kate, William, and Annabelle Kurylo.

Her greatest pride and joy were her family.  She was an excellent cook and was known for her perogies, Lithuanian sausage and apple pies.  She loved hosting family get togethers which always ended in a game of cards.  She also cherished her numerous friends, many of whom she had for over 50 years.  Last but not least, she will be remembered for her dedication to St. Casimir's Lithuanian Church.  For 40 years, she tirelessly served as president of various committees and led fundraising activities.  She will be dearly missed by all.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral was held in Montreal on Mar 23, 2020 at St. Casimir's Church with interment in the Eulalie-Durocher Mausoleum at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.  A memorial mass and a celebration of her life will be held this summer.  Donations in her memory may be made to St. Casimir's Church, 3426 rue Parthenais, Montreal, QC  H2K 3T7.

Condolences may be sent to www.memoria.ca
