It is with great sadness that the family of Nickolai Michailuk announces his peaceful passing on Friday January 13, 2023, at the age of 89.

Born in Zastavna, Ukraine December 11, 1933. Nickolai was the devoted husband of the late Doris (nee Manchulenko) and loving father of Nick (Helene) and cherished Grandfather (Gido) of Nicholas and Christopher. He was predeceased by his parents Georgi and Frozina (nee Roik), sister Sanda and brothers Bill and Jerry. He is survived by his brother George.

Nickolai was the proud founder and head of a family firm that built luxury homes in Montreal’s West-Island for over four decades. He was a loving and devoted lifetime patron of St. Sophie Parish. He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, and church community.

Sincere gratitude is extended to the extraordinary compassionate and devoted team on the First Floor of the Canadian-Polish Institute with heartfelt thanks to his guardian angels Lidia, Waldek and nurse Olena. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.

Funeral entrusted to Complexe Alfred Dallaire Memoria, 3254 Rue Bellechasse, Montréal corner Saint-Michel. Visitation on Tuesday January 17, 2023, from 7 to 9 p.m.; Panahyda 7:30 p.m. Funeral service at St. Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on Wednesday January 18, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., Nickolai will be laid to rest at Mount Royal Cemetery. May His memory be eternal  - VICHNAYA PAMYAT.
