Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 98 years. She was born in Kobilnitsia, Ukraine on April 10, 1918. She was predeceased by her husbands, Dmytro Popovich and Wasyl Bahyra and dear sister Maria Kokosky. She leaves behind her devoted nieces, Lesha (Bruce), Irene (Ihor) and Christina. Odarka is deeply missed by her grandnieces Tatiana, Andricka, Larissa and Tessa, her family in the Ukraine, and many friends in the Ukrainian community of Montreal, where she lived for 65 years. She was a very active and beloved member of the Ukrainian Women's League.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to the orphans of Ukraine be made in her memory.
