It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved George Primak. A Native of the Ukraine, George came to Canada in 1950. He obtained a B. Eng degree in chemical engineering from McGill University in 1958. After working in process engineering following graduation, he joined a Montreal firm of patent agents and qualified as Patent Agent in 1964. He joined Noranda Mines Limited in 1971 to head up the Patent Department. He was also a registered Trademark Agent, a Fellow of the Patent and Trademark Institute of Canada and was a member The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). He retired at age 55 to start his own intellectual property consulting firm as Primak & Co.

He is survived by his wife Monique Gagnon, his three children John (Michy), Nathalie and Paul, and his two grandchildren Jason and Rebecka.

Following the service will be a brief gathering for food and beverages, and to further celebrate the life of George Primak. We ask that in lieu of sending flowers, a donation can be made to the West Island Palliative Care Center at the following link: www.residencesoinspalliatifs.com
