Mr. Tadeusz (Ted) Samoluk

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tadeusz Samoluk (Ted) at the age of 85 on January 6, 2021. Beloved husband of Xenia Humchack for 66 years. Loved and cherished by his children Judy and Michael (Laurie) and grandchildren Andrew and Nicholas. He is also survived by brothers Edward (Helen) and John and sister Mary (Edward). Ted will be forever missed by other family members and many dear friends from his second home in Vermont where he was a central part of so many lives.

Born on July 23, 1935, Ted grew up in Montreal where he met and married the love of his life, Xenia, and raised their two children. In his youth, he was a natural athlete who enjoyed playing semi-pro baseball and later became an avid golfer, having fond memories of fraternizing with his golf buddies at Summerlea or at the Rib. Ted was always a quick study with an inherent drive for success. A self-made man who found his niche career in the business of aftermarket parts for heavy-equipment. Loved his business travel that took him all over the world. With over 50 years experience as a company owner he was recognized as an honest businessman with a high degree of integrity and profound knowledge of the business. Ever sharp, Ted enjoyed working up until the very end and was proud to say: “I did it my way”.

Private Viewing at Alfred Dallaire Memoria, 3254 Bellechasse, Montreal on Monday January 11th, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Panachyda/Service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on Tuesday January 12 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Mount-Royal Cemetery.
