The funeral will take place:
Sofia (née Harasymowych) passed away on Wednesday, July 6 in her 99th year. Dear wife of the late Mykola, she leaves to mourn her niece Sofia Petrashkewych, grandnieces Vera, Darka, Halia, Zirka and Ursula and their families. Also survived by Nadia Hrymak Wynnycky and her family as well as by relatives and friends in Canada, Ukraine and Poland. Sofia was an active parishioner at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League. She also served at the Entraide Ukrainienne de Montréal and the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations. Special thanks to Sister Lawrentia Semjaniw, the late Anna Ruzanik, Michael Lychacz and the staff of the Institut Polonais-Canadien de Bien-être for their generous help during Sofia’s latter years.
