Community support

The way of expressing our gratitude to the community has made us what we are today.

As a leader in the funeral sector, MEMORIA’s role is not limited to funeral services. It has a social dimension, in the form of psychological and estate assistance to families we serve.

As a Québec SME solidly rooted in its community, Memoria actively assumes its role as a good corporate citizen. Jocelyne Dallaire Légaré, her daughter Julia, and her team support numerous humanitarian and sociocultural organizations. It is our way of saying thank you to the community that has adopted us.

Fondation Memoria

Le Fonds commémoratif pour les femmes en génie

Fonds commémoratif pour les femmes en génie
On December 6, 1989, fourteen young women were murdered at Montréal’s École polytechnique. MEMORIA was mandated to handle their funerals. Less than a year later, Jocelyne Dallaire Légaré created a fund with the money received from them: the Fonds commémoratif pour les femmes en génie de la Fondation MEMORIA (Women Engineering Students’ Memorial Fund). In 2003, it was renamed the Memoria Foundation. Since its creation, the Foundation has granted over thirty awards.
