A death has just occurred

First of all, we offer you our deepest condolences.

We will help you navigate through this difficult time at your own pace and according to your needs.

If your loved one has just died, here are the steps to follow:

  • 1

    Call us at 514-277-7778 (24/24, 7/7)

We will guide you through the initial steps you need to take. If the place of death is outside of a hospital, our team is available 24/7 to proceed quickly with the transportation of the deceased, in an atmosphere of utmost respect and without you having to do anything yourself.

  • 2

Make an appointment with a MEMORIA advisor

Choose the time most convenient for you to meet with an advisor, either over the phone from home or in person. Your advisor will guide you through the process and will respect your needs and your budget.

  • 3

    Gather important information

To prepare for the meeting, we will first ask you to fill out an information sheet. Your advisor will also give you a checklist of other things you’ll need to prepare later.

  • 4

    Take some time for yourself.

After this initial meeting, you’ll have a better idea of what decisions you’ll need to make and practical things to do. You can then take the time to relax with your loved ones, to consult them if necessary, and to gently prepare yourself for what comes next.
