It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Mabel Tremblay-Dufresne in Pointe-Claire, on January 29, 2017, at the age of 90.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Mr. Cyrille Dufresne, her 8 children: Marc ( Élisabeth Tournier), Anne, Monique ( Roland Côté), Thérèse ( Richard Gravel), Paul ( Gabrielle Collu), Jean-Louis ( Véronique Pelletier ), Marie-Édith ( François Casgrain) and François ( Heather Smith ), her 21 grandchildren : Patrick, Caroline, Suzanne, Guillaume, Margaux, Alexis, Christiane, Grégoire, Carl, Marieke-Noëlle, Saskia, Ariel, Stéphanie, Julien, Raphaëlle, Hugo, Laurence, Antoine, Pascale, Emily and David, her 11 great-grandchildren: Daphnée, Iris-Miyabi, Joan-Sakura, Youri, Samuel, Johann, Charlotte, Alicia, Adela, Rosalie, and Édouard. She also leaves behind her godson Jean-Pierre Riel (Louise), her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Andrée Pelletier, Marthe Dufresne-Laurin, Sr Thérèse Dufresne, Pierre Dufresne (Lise Beauregard) and Sr Lise Dufresne as well as many relatives and friends.
A nurse by trade, Mrs. Dufresne was a member of the first palliative care team at the Royal Victoria hospital in Montreal.
The family will receive condolences at Alfred Dallaire Memoria, located at 1111 avenue Laurier west, Montreal, on Friday, February 3 from 2-5pm and from 7-10pm, as well as Saturday, February 4 at St-Viateur Church (1175 Laurier west) at 1pm. The funeral will take place at 2pm. (valet service offered)
