Mme Hedy V Jadwiga Labieniec

On May 26, 2022 at the age of ninety-one years young; at the Montreal General Hospital after kidney dialysis no longer provided the necessary sustainment.

Predeceased by her loving husband Paul KULBA; Mother Wladyslawa Karpienia; Father Michal Labieniec; Sister Sabina Maytan (William); and Brother William.

Dear Mother of Paul (Linda) and Steve (Susan). Loving Grandmother to Laureen Vodden (Jason); Richard and Erin. Great Grandmother to Lark & Reid Vodden. Auntie to Carol Brigandi (Tony); Great Auntie to Jennifer & Michael.

Hedy did her best to live independently in Montreal while her family was located in Ottawa. She had a generous, giving nature, loved to tease and was always on the go. Her main interests were family, dancing, reading & bingo. In her later years her main priority was the three days per week treatments at the General Hospital. Even with this added to an already busy life style she maintained a positive and upbeat demeanour. She would tell us how easy it could be to be depressed, but she refused to go down that path. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation at Alfred Dallaire Memoria, 3254 rue de Bellechasse, Montreal QC, on Friday June 3, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Catered luncheon from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Family to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery for burial following the service.
