M. Ronald George Bolus

Ron (Ronald George) Bolus, born in Toronto Ontario, son of Elizabeth Robertson & Charles Edward Bolus.

It is with extreme sadness that we announce Ron’s sudden passing on Thursday, Sept 29th, 2022 at home. Ron leaves behind his loving wife Lise Plourde who was by his side in his final moments. Also, many cherished friends and relatives: sister Margaret (deceased) and nieces and nephews Barbara (Hans deceased), David (deceased), Robbie (Lise), Steven (Patricia) and Brian (deceased) and there Childrens, Sister Patricia and Bob (deceaseds) and nieces and nephew Cheri-Lynn (Greg), David (Pamela) and Jennifer (Andrew) and there childrens. Brother and sister in law Jeannine and Jean Paul Plourde (deceased). 

A life member of the Canadian Professional Golfers Association, Ron served as Head Professional at Hillsdale G. & C.C. from 1970-2004.  We could add that Ron had Hillsdale in his bones. Upon his retirement, Ron was presented with the coveted Emeritus Professional award; an honour he didn’t take lightly. His warm, kind & engaging demeanour made him beloved by all in contact with him and he was the consummate Professional. You could always find Ron graciously offering «legendary lessons», sharing his wealth of knowledge & his love for the game. As a mentor, Ron had the innate ability to bring out the best in each individual. He would often say «regardless how badly people treat you, never drop to their level» …Words that echo to this day.

He will be dearly missed by so many and never forgotten, RIP.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Monday, October 17, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Salon Alfred Dallaire Memoria: 2159, Boul. Saint-Martin East Laval, Quebec H7E 4X6 A religious ceremony will take place at the same location at 1:30 p.m. After the ceremony, Ron's burial will follow for 3 p.m. at Saint-Vincent-de-Paul Cemetery at: 3503 Boul. Lévesque E, Laval, QC H7E 2P8 and the family invites you to a tea party to celebrate Ron's long live. at the Salon Alfred Dallaire Memoria on Saint-Martin.
