Angela Cerasa Santucci, aged 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 5th, 2024.

Born in Loreto Aprutino in Pescara Abruzzo (Italy), Angela was one of 6 children (Elisa, Umberto, Domenico, Angela, Giuseppina, Giulia).

Angela worked at a “pastificcio” as a teenager where she gained experience in pasta making and to help support her family.

She left Italy at the age of 21 in 1960 and came to Canada. She was introduced to our dad by her childhood friend/sister-in-law (Annazopita) and here she began to make a life for herself.

She is survived by her 3 children Mario (Deborah Ann Storozuk), Franco (Caroline Lamorgese), Marco (Eve Mamane).

Her 6 grandchildren who she loved immensely; Marilyn, Cassandra, Anthony, Joseph, Ella and Gabi.

She is also survived by her brother Umberto (Giuseppina), her sister in Italy Giulia (Dante), as well her many brothers-in-law;  Silvio (Annazopita),  Luciano (Rachele), her late brother-in-law Gabriel's wife (Annette), as well as many nieces and nephews in Italy and the United States.  She was blessed with family and friends who will miss her from all parts of the world.

Angela worked best under pressure when she was required to cook up a storm for her kids and family that were visiting.  Nothing made her happier than making sure we were all fed and sitting at the same table.

There were countless hours spent in the kitchen making her home-made Gnocchi or her “pasta fatta in casa”.   She always thought about everyone and she made sure everyone had something to eat that was to their liking.

There was no retirement for her, she always kept busy taking care of our dad when he was ill and she worked tirelessly at maintaining the house clean & tidy that we could literally have eaten off the floors.

She usually sacrificed her own desires so that everyone around her was taken care of and she unselfishly devoted all her time for others.

But don’t let that fool you, she always had a witty answer when she wasn’t happy with you and when you weren’t wearing a hat in winter. She always made sure we respected everyone and we behaved appropriately.

While flowers are beautiful, we ask that you kindly consider making a donation to any of the following charities:
