In Montreal on April 26th, 2023 at the age of 85, passed away Emilia Di Lazzaro (born Verdugo), wife of the late Michele Di Lazzaro and daughter of late Isabel Verdugo-Torrejon and of late Gregorio Verdugo. She will be sadly missed by her children Giambattista - Giovanni (Olga), Maddalena - Mandy (Bill), Antonietta - Toni (Tony), her grandchildren Christina (Paul), Jessica (RJ), Alexandra (Kosta), Michael (Joyce), Natasha (Brandon), Amanda and Kadyn, her great-grandchildren Zelina, Katrina, Leandro and Serena, her sister-in-law Maria, her brother-in-law Antonio, as well as many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends, all devastated by her departure.
The family will receive condolences at the MEMORIA Funeral Home (1120 East Jean-Talon Street East Montreal, Qc H2R 1V9 – corner of Christophe-Colomb) Wednesday May 3rd, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm and Thursday May 4th, 2023 from 9:30am to 11:30am. The religious ceremony will take place at 11:30am at the same location followed by her entombment at 1:15pm at Urgel Bourgie Laval Memorial Garden (2500, des Perron Avenue, Laval H7J 1G5).
Considering the importance of research rather than offering flowers, any donations could be made directly to the family or to one of the following foundations; the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec, Foundation d'Ahuntsic et Montréal-Nord, or the Jewish General Hospital Foundation.
