Mr. Franciszek Bogdanski

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Franciszek Bogdanski on June 20, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born in Wizna, Lomza, Poland on February 17, 1933 and emigrated to Canada in 1965. He lived a good and happy life always surrounded by his family and good friends. Franciszek was a man who always gave a helping hand and was active in his church community. His favourite pastime were having a good game of cards with his children and friends, watching sports, reading and music. Family and tradition played a very important role in his life. The last several years he struggled with lengthy illness and surgeries but he fought until the end. The last ten days of his life were spent at St. Mary's Hospital, where he died peacefully in the night with his daughter by his side. He had said that he was tired.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Gertruda Baczewski and leaves to mourn his children Jan (Diane Koziol), Maria (Stan Kula), Zbyszek (Pamela MacPherson). His precious grandchildren Margaret (Sam Bismar), Alice, Jessica, Isabella and Matthew, also his beloved great-grandchildren Nicolas and Emma, as well as relatives and friends.

The family will receive family and friends at Memoria 3254 Bellechasse, Montreal. Thursday June 29, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm. The rosary will be at 7:30pm. On Friday June 30, 2023 from 9am to 9:30am
