Born January 25, 1928, Jean-Louis Lefebvre passed away at the age of 89 on June 2, 2017. He is survived by his spouse of 44 years Jeannine Marcoux, and his extended family including his children Dominique (Michel Plouffe), Sylvie (Claude Pierce), Michel (Eva Quintas); his grand-children Geneviève Plouffe (Amaury Fillon), Alexandre (Chloe Cavaliere), Catherine (Etienne Mainville Blanchard), Vincent Pierce (Leah Peric), Martin (Ali Brennen); his great grand-children Solène, Gabriel, Florent, Mathilde; as well as his brothers, their wives and their children Bernard, Yves (Claudette), Paul (late Renelle), Gilles, Hubert (Nicole). He is predeceased by his brother Charles (Elisabeth) as well as his sister Denise (late Émile Sanche).
Jean-Louis was an attentive and respectful husband and father, a scholar, an intellectual and a friend of the arts. His memory will stay with us always.
Graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf (Conventum 1946), licensed in Law at McGill University in 1951 and having passed the Bar exam in 1953, he worked as an independent lawyer before practicing labor law for the company Domtar for over 20 years. He finished his career as legal counsel at the Conseil du Patronat du Québec.
We would like to thank the personnel in palliative care at the Jewish General Hospital.
The family will receive condolences at Alfred Dallaire Memoria funeral home at 1111 Laurier W. in Montréal, Wednesday June 7 from 1 pm to 9pm. A ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm.
