Mrs. Josie Gurreri

Josie Gurreri, at the young age of 77, passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Montreal, Josie was the eldest of four children (Angie, Mary, and Joe) and served as the matriarch of the family. She is survived by her four children: Tina (Vince) Anna (Victor) Angela (Jimmy) Loredana (Enzo) Grandchildren: Alexia, Luca, David and Mia. She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, and friends spanning the globe in Canada, the United States, and Italy.

Josie’s strength, love, and compassion were a light for all who knew her. Known for her open door, Josie’s home was a welcoming place where gatherings left everyone with filled bellies and hearts full of love. We have countless beautiful memories of her to cherish forever, and we will continue to share stories around the table as she loved to do. Josie’s cooking and kindness touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped care for her during her most difficult times. To those who called to check on her, drove her to appointments, stayed with her after treatments, and prayed for her, we are deeply grateful.

The family will receive condolences June 15th 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Les Espaces Memoria 1120 Jean-Talon East Montreal, QC H2R 1V9

While flowers are beautiful, donations can change lives. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate considering a donation to Pancreatic Cancer Canada in hopes that one day there will be a cure for this devastating disease.
