Mrs. Suzanne Bedik (Desautels)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Bedik (Desautels) on June 4th, 2024, at the age of eighty. Beloved wife of the late Mykola Bedik, loving mother to Gregory (Andrea) and cherished Babusia to Alexa and Natalia. She also leaves to mourn her sister Renée (Jean Pierre), extended family, and many nieces and nephews.

She was born on rue St. Denis in her childhood home in Montreal. She met her husband to be, Mykola, at the early age of sixteen where they worked together at Richstone bakery. They were later married and through marriage Suzanne immersed herself in the Ukrainian culture and language. Suzanne proudly spoke four languages, was an award-winning cake decorator, a terrific cook, and an avid botanist.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer society or Canada Ukraine Foundation.

Panachyda will take place at Les espaces Memoria on Monday June 10th at 7PM

3254 rue Bellechasse, corner of St. Michel.

Church service will take place at Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of Sainte Sophie.

6255 Bd St. Michel at 1PM followed by cemetery services at Cimètiere de Notre Dames des Neiges.
