Mr. Domenico Santucci

Domenico Santucci, aged 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 14th, 2023.

Born in Vestea in Pescara Abruzzo (Italy), Domenico was one of 7 children (Ines Beatrice, Silvio, Irma Aquilina, Domenico, Maria, Luciano, Gabriele). He left his home at the age of 18 in 1954 and came to Canada with some of his siblings in search of work opportunities. Here, he began to make a life for himself, and was introduced to his beautiful wife and began to build his legacy.

He is survived by his wife Angela Cerasa and his 3 children Mario (Deborah Ann Storozuk), Franco (Caroline Lamorgese), Marco (Eve Mamane).
His 6 grandchildren who loved him greatly; Marilyn, Cassandra, Anthony, Joseph, Ella and Gabi.
He is also survived by his brothers Silvio (Annazopita), Luciano (Rachele), his late brother Gabriel's wife (Annette), his brother-in-law and sister-in-law in Montreal and Italy and many nieces and nephews.

He was blessed with family and friends who will miss him from all parts of the world such as Italy, New York, Venezuela, and Halifax. Domenico was filled with happiness and pride while tending to his homemade wine, his pear tree, and his garden. He enjoyed his retirement watching a local game of Bocce at the park or relaxing in his chair pretending to watch TV, when the TV was really watching him. He always had time for a game of Italian cards,checkers, or neighbourhood walks with his kids and grandchildren. He was happiest when his family was just visiting orover for Sunday lunch and he was enjoying a meal and a glass of wine with everyone.
