Mr. André Gauthier

André Gauthier, widower of Huguette Daigneault, died suddenly of a coronary event at his home in Montreal on Thursday, June 24^th 2021 at the age of 78.

He will be sadly missed by his devoted partner Louise Mathieu, his children Maryse (Scott), Éric (Mélanie) and Martin (Isabelle), his step-children Jean (Nathalie), Isabelle (Eddy) and Marie-Hélène (Yannick), his 13 grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends.

A graduate of Cornwall College (University of Ottawa) and the University of Montreal (Ecole Polytechnique), he began his career at IBM before founding LGS Group in 1979 with his partners Raymond Lafontaine and Jerry Shattner. The IT consulting firm will become one of the flagships of the Quebec industry.

An accomplished entrepreneur and businessman, he served on a multitude of boards and contributed to the success of several businesses across the country. An avid collector, he was passionate about art, history, culture and travel.

The family will receive condolences at the Alfred Dallaire MEMORIA Funeral Home (4231, Boul. St-Laurent, Montreal, Qc) on Friday, July 9^th from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral (1085, De la Cathédrale Street, Montréal, Qc) on Saturday, July 10^th at 10 am.

Burial will follow at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery (4601, Chemin Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, Qc)
