Mr. Gino Silicani

In Laval, on Thursday September 14, passed away Mr. Gino Silicani.

Beloved husband of Laurette Radino, he will also be greatly missed by his children, Joseph (Jessica-Louise Moalli) and Hélène (André Villeneuve) and his grand-children, Sylviane Silicani, Elizabeth Silicani and Anne-Sophie Villeneuve. He leaves also to mourn his sister-in-law, Dora Silicani and his brother-in-law, Vincenzo Radino and many nieces and nephews.

Gino will be dearly missed by numerous friends from his summer residence of Lac Long in St-Alphonse, as well as the wonderful friends he made during the past nine years at the retirement community of Résidence Les Marronniers where he had been living with his wife. He will be fondly remembered by the musicians of the Harmonie Henri-Bourassa de Montréal-Nord with whom he had played clarinet for more than 20 years.

He was retired from the Montreal School Board Commission following a career as teacher, headmaster and various management positions.

The family will receive condolences at Alfred Dallaire Memoria Complex, 2159 St-Martin Blvd. East, Laval (mausoleum in the back), on Friday September 22, from to 2pm to 5pm, from 7pm to 10 pm and Saturday September 23 as of 9am.

A funeral service will take place Saturday, September 23 at 11am in St-Sylvain Parish, 750 St-Sylvain Blvd., Laval.

Donations may be made to the Foundation of Cité de la Santé Hospital, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation or mass intentions for the repose of his soul.
