Dr. Jacques Genest Sr passed away peacefully and serenely on January 5th, 2018 at the age of 98. His wife, Estelle, his children Paul, Suzanne, Jacques Jr, Marie and Helene were privileged to be with him for such a long time. He was a wonderful husband and father who guided his family with love and Christian Faith. He also leaves behind twelve grand-children and seven great grand-children. As the Founder of the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM), his mind was wide open to science while respecting his religious and family values.
According to his wishes, a private mass will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10 AM for family and close friends, at the Maison provinciale of the Clercs de Saint-Viateur 450 avenue Querbes, Outremont H2V 3W5.
