It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques Paquin in Laval on March 9th, 2024, at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife Gaye McLeod. He was the son of the late Alice Rancourt and the late Lucien Paquin and the brother of Andrée (the late Serge Caon), the late Madeleine (Louis-H. Fournier) and the late Denise (the late Louis Thibault).
He is also survived by Lorraine Pepin, the mother of his children, daughter Nathalie, his late son Francis, Éric (Sally) and Frank (Véronique), his grandchildren Kristine, Mike, Stéphanie (Davey), Valérie, Matthew, Patrick, Viviane, Gabrielle, Justine and his great-granddaughter Aurélie, as well as several nephews, nieces and friends.
According to his last wishes, a religious celebration will take place on March 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the St-Pie-X Church at 1065 Pie-X blvd, Laval, QC H7V 3B2
The family will receive condolences on March 16, 2024, at Memoria Laval Funeral Home, 2159, East Saint-Martin blvd, Laval (Québec) H7E 4X6 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The burial will be postponed until spring at the cemetery of the parish of Saint-Cyprien in Napierville. A small ceremony will take place at that time for the family.
Rather than flowers, the family invites interested people to make a donation to the CHSLD La Pinière Foundation.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all of the staff and volunteers of the CHSLD La Pinière. We will be forever grateful for their kindness, compassion, support and excellent care provided to our father throughout his stay.
