Mrs. Nela Rio

With sadness, we announce the passing of our mother Nela Rio in Montreal on November 29, 2022. Daughter of the late Domingo Rio and the late Leonilda Sassola, sister of the late Ely, the late Hugo, the late Chichina, and mother of the late Gustavo, she leaves in mourning her children Federico, Marcela, and Santiago, her sister Lucy, her grandchildren Joshua, Arturo, Emilio, Magdalena, and Elena, her husband Alan and his son Aaron, and her daughters-in-law, Paulina and Anna.

We will remember her always for her extraordinary strength, her creativity and joy in writing and visual arts, her commitment to her students, and her profound love for her family in Canada and Argentina.
