Mr. Stanley R. Tumas

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Stanley R. Tumas, on April 19, 2024.He was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann (Walkden) for almost 58 years.

Stanley was a kind, generous and charming man. A friend once said of him “Throw a stone to Stan and he will throw you back a loaf of bread”. He was always ready to help anyone at any time with no questions asked.  He will be sorely missed by all who benefited from his kindness, thoughfulnes and generosity. He was a great animal lover and, if he could, he would have saved them all from mistreatment and extinction (especially elephants, rhinos, etc.). He and Barbara loved cats and dozens of strays showed up at their door, which were quickly adopted. He was an excellent organizer as witnessed by the successful Classica Concerts he organized. He definitely welcomed a challenge. He will be sadly missed by Barbara, his dear sister Jennie, his niece Ann, cousins Helen, John and Valerie and his best friend Adam. May he rest in peace.

The funeral will be held at St.Casimir’s Church, 3426 Parthenais St. on May 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m.  Barbara will receive condolences at church, one hour prior to the ceremony.
