It is with deep sadness that we announce the prematured passing of Stepan Balatsko.
He passed away after a severe illness, at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montreal, on September 25 at 10:15 p.m., with his daughter and his spouse by his side.
He will be deeply missed by his mother Bogdana, his daughter Marta and her spouse Anatoli, his spouse Bogdana, his grandchildren, his sister Maria, his brother Mykolai, as well as his large family in Ukraine.
He was a brilliant and generous man, very devoted to the Ukrainian community throughout his life. An excellent father and grandfather, he leaves a deep void in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held in his memory, at the Alfred Dallaire MEMORIA, located at 3254 rue de Bellechasse, in Montreal, on Thursday, September 29 from 5 to 9 p.m., prayers at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral will be held at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church on Friday, September 30 at 10 a.m.
