With great sadness, we announce the passing of Wesner-Joseph Astre, born on April 22, 1948, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. He is survived by his two sons Christian and Stéphane (Patricia), his five grandchildren Léanne, Jérémie, Elisabeth, Emmanuel, and Gabrielle as well as his sisters and brothers, Micheline (Guy), Harry (Jeanne), Garry (Masiani), Cléna (Ricardo) and Cassandre (Wilson). The effects of this sorrow can also reach other loved ones and acquaintances.
A model husband and father, Wesner will always be remembered as being present, a willing listener, and having a strong desire to help and serve his neighbors.
