Mrs. Yvette Thibault

In Montreal-Nord, on September 24, Madame Yvette Thibault, from the Portneuf county, died at the age of 89. She is mourned by her children Lorraine Lacroix (Trevor Purvis) and Sylvain Lacroix (Loraine Marcoux), her grandchildren Philippe (Andrea Brodie) and Catherine (Simon Beaudet), her two great-grandsons Liam and Logan, and her brother Maurice, many nephews, nieces, and a host of friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Annette Leduc and Jean-Baptiste Thibault, as well as her siblings Jean-Paul, Guy, Jean-Louis, Sylvio, Rachel, Jeanne, Simonne, and Gertrude.

We would like to highlight particularly Yvette’s courage and determination following a stroke at the age of 42. Despite this extraordinary test, through sheer determination of will, she managed to regain and retain her independence, almost to the end. Much of her life was spent as a community volunteer, including with the Club d’entraide après l’AVC, and the Club Lecto Henri-Bourassa (co-founded in 1979).

The family would like to welcome you to the funeral home Alfred Dallaire Memoria located at 1120, rue Jean-Talon Est in Montreal, Saturday, November 5, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. There will be a celebration of Yvette’s life at the chapel at the funeral complex at 3:30 p.m. followed by refreshments. The burial will take place at the St-François-de-Sales Parish cemetery at 7070, Blvd. des Milles-Iles in Saint-François (Laval) on November 6 at 11:00 am.

We would like to thank the staff of the CHSLD Champlain de Gouin (5th floor) in Montreal-Nord for the exceptional care they provided. Instead of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
