Born in Ripi, Italy, emigrated to Canada with her husband Pasquale and two young children, Loreto and Giovanna. Carolina Bottoni was an exceptional person, she was gracious, loving and indefatigable in difficult times. In a world where a sense of sharing and community is increasingly contested, Carolina was the embodiment of these values. A difficult life and many challenges could not impede her from delivering to those lucky enough to know her, a message of love and acceptance.
Her life is remembered and celebrated by her two children Loreto (Iliria) and Giovanna (Fox). Three grand children, Carla (Oliver), Melitta (Aaron) and Sandro (Eleanor).
Seven great grandsons, Sacha, Leo, Luca, Andreas, Desmond, Isaiah, Massimo. Her two nieces Paulina, Marisa, and nephew Joe and their families.
